Good morning, everyone! Will Acuff here. This week, I’m at Hope Heals Camp, started by Jay and Catherine Wolf. You can check them out through the link provided.
Hope Heals is an extraordinary place where families affected by disability get to be together. It’s a space where they don’t have to explain anything—everyone just gets it. Their shoulders come down. They call it a "shoulders down" space, where, just for a moment, you get to be, breathe, and be surrounded by compassionate love.
I think of this as a refueling space—a place where you don’t have to do anything strategic, tactical, or purposeful. Instead, you just get to be.
So, my question for you today is: Do you have a place where you just get to be? A place where you don’t have to perform, put on a brave face, or present yourself in a certain light? A place where you can simply say, "Oh, this is me today."
If you don’t have that place, maybe today ask the Lord if there’s a space He’s calling you into where you could find that, and where you could be that for someone else.
Hope Heals is one of those spaces for me and my family. It’s our "shoulders down" space.
Have a great day, everyone!
